[gallery type="square" ids="5291,5290,5289"] I am in a class this weekend about visualization and guided imagery with the world-renowned Dr. Charles Smith so I can't help but discuss the power of visualization to accomplish anything we want to achieve in this world. Everybody does it from olympic athletes to cancer patients to generate the feelings of winning the gold metal or a healthy body. I'm a true believer in practicing visualization and yes, I did even create my own vision board. I currently have a 5-year vision board about who I want to meet, where I want to travel, every single class on my doctorate program (I cross them out each quarter), and personal goals in which I have by my bedside. It's not the most attractive piece of decor but I have looked at it every night for 4 years before I fall asleep, and I have almost completed everything on the board!
Practicing visualization can help with:
- Limited beliefs
- Realizing your dreams
I'm sure that Jane Goodall, Helen Keller, and Mother Teresa all had a strong idea of what they wanted to achieve and practiced visualization to create their realities.
